this is a fanfic that Koni and i are writing, using naruto characters. its supposed to be like the lion king. it isn't done yet, so wait for the rest! the first font is koni's parts, the secon font is my part.
Momochi Izikoni and Hatake Kakashi sat on chairs in the waiting room.
"I know I don’t know you that well, Kakashi, but sitting in this room has gotten me thinking. From the day we arrive on this planet; and blinking, step into the sun, we realize there is more to see than can ever be seen and more to do than can ever be done," Izikoni had been thinking.
"Well, I think you have to realize there is far too much to take in here, and more to find than can ever be found," Kakashi had always stood by this before because he had to take care of his little sister after his father had died, and his mother had been growing sick.
Izikoni had started to draw the the curtains. It was sunrise. "But, the sun rolling high, through the sapphire sky keeps great and small on the endless round. The students in the Mist are taught about the Circle of Life. And it moves us all through despair and hope; through faith and love. Until we find our place on the path unwinding. In the Circle of Life."
The Fourth Hokage appeared at the door. "Do you want to come in and see them?"
"Them?" the two asked in unison.
"You’ll see."
Kakashi and Izikoni followed him into the hospital room. There were two infants crying their first breaths.
"The boys name is Naruto," the Fourth said. "The girl’s name is Reimei."
"Nice names, Yondaime-sensei."
The Fourth Hokage smiled, "I think so too."
A new Hokage has been born
, Izikoni thought. She was examining the infant Naruto. Some day we will call him Lord Hokage.
"Lord Hokage," Izikoni said in a respectful manner, "Would you be offended if I left?" She touched the infant Naruto’s head.
"You may leave. I don’t mind at all, Kakashi-san, you may go with her if you please," the Fourth Hokage nodded his head.
Kakashi nodded back. Izikoni, who only had the experience she had with the Mizukage of the Mist Village, hugged the Fourth Hokage.
Izikoni walked out of the hospital in a good mood, with Kakashi following her. She had gotten happy and hyper."It’s the Circle of Life," she sang,"And it moves us all! Through despair and hope! Through faith and love!" she turned to Kakashi and blushed slightly. "And when we find our place…"
Kakahi took her hand. "On the path unwinding, it’s the Circle, the Circle of Life."
"Gai is going to be so impressed when I break-up with him."
"Itachi, you didn’t come to see Naruto."
"Oh! Why didn’t you tell me your little tot was out now?"
"As my apprentice Kage, you should have been first in line."
"I was first in line untill the little brat was born."
"That brat is my son. And if he is as ambitious as I was, your future Hokage."
"I’ll go see him later."
"I’ll be waiting in the nursury for you," tensions were rising high. The only reason why he didn’t mention Reimei to Itachi was because he knew that Itachi was sexist.
Itachi started to walk away. "Oh, and Lord Hokage, I won’t forget to come."
A few days later, Yondaime and his bride were holding the kids near a fast, rapid river. The woman was holding Reimei.
"Kushina," the Fourth Hokage said to his wife, calling her by her name.
"Yes, ai?"
"I know that what I’m about to say is crazy, but let the river take Reimei away.
Kushina gasped. "Why would you want to do that?"
"Because I don’t want her to die."
Kushina stared at him.
"This river leads us to our allies in the Sand, and the river is fast enough that it will only take a day or two, so she’ll cry, but she won’t starve."
Kushina was holding Reimei and was crying.
"I know it’s hard," Yondaime had started to cry as well. "And I’m going to miss her as much as you are. It’s for the better."
Kushina held Reimei close. "I’ll miss you. My little princess," she handed the baby to Yondaime, who placed a necklace with the Village symbol on it on her. Kushina wailed as she held Naruto. Minato, the Fourth Hokage, placed his daughter in the Grand River, and let her go.
The very next day a red-haired Sand Village women strolled the Sand end of the Grand River.
"Hey, look at the squirrels!" The woman bounded gleefully towards the squirrels. "Wow! A human baby! In the river! How rare!" The woman picked up the baby and examined the necklace from Konoha. I have to tell Lord Kazekage about her. But first, this baby needs food.
Eight long years passed. Kakashi and Izikoni were married and both craved a child, but someone else was more anxious about learning than anyone else.
"DAD!!"
Minato mumbled, "Your son summons me."
Kushina corrected him, "It’s before sunrise, he’s your son."
"Daaad! Come on Dad! Get up!"
Minato looked at Naruto.
"You promised!"
The Fourth laughed a hearty laugh. "That I did," he let out a mighty yawn, "OK, I’m up."
With in the hour all of the Uzumaki Clan was dressed and walking out of the house.
Naruto was the first person out of the house. He was closely followed by his father and mother.
Minato stepped off the patio and Naruto ran to give his mother a hug.
"Now, Naruto-san, do as your father says; when he says it’s time to go, don’t argue and come straight home."
"OK, Mom!" Naruto bounded happily toward his father and they were off.
The Fourth Hakage and his son were standing on the statues of all the great Hokages.
"Naruto, I love the sunrise."
"I do too."
"You were born at sunrise."
"I know."
"Look out at this land, Naruto. The light engulfs this entire Village. Wall to wall, house to house. You have great potential, my son. Great potential to become an even greater Hokage than I am."
"Do you mean it, Dad?"
"Every word. You could rule everything the light touches in this village."
"Everything the light touches in the wall. What about outside the wall?"
"That’s a dangerous place. As things stand now, I don’t want you to go there."
"Okay."
A vulture flew in the skay, bringing death with it. Naruto clung to his father. "Dad, can you make the bird go away? It’s frightening me."
"You’re scared?"
"Uh-huh."
"When I first met this girl from the Mist Village, I was frightened of them as well, but she welcomed the birds. I asked her why. She told me that everyone she ever lost wasn’t lost. I asked further," the two were walking away from the Village now. "She told me that the Circle of Life made it that way. She told me that our ancestors were around us, no matter what, in the animals."
They had arrived at a cattle field. "I don’t get it, Dad."
The Fourth Hokage examined the cattle. "To put it in simpler terms, I’ve seen you eat beef udon. The cattle provided the beef part."
"Where are you getting at with this?"
"When we die, our bodies become the grass, the cattle eat the grass, and we eat the cattle, so we are connected."
"Oh. That makes much more sense."
"Good day, Lord Hokage."
"Ah, good day, Kakashi-san."
"I have word from around the village."
"Good work, Kakashi-san, so, as for your news?"
"Well, there has been a slight uproar at one of the pubs. An apparent shortage of sake has come up. Alcoholics all around have been making a fuss." As Kakashi spoke, Naruto had stoled a kunai from his father’s stash and was chasing butterflies with it.
This distracted Minato. So, making sure that Kakashi was absorbed in his story, he turned to his son.
"Naruto, what are you doing?"
"I’m killing butterflies."
"Do you want to scare a Scarecrow?"
"Yeah!"
"OK, so, you have your kunai, now, slowly sneak up behind him-not a sound."
"OK," Naruto did as he was told. Kakashi, meanwhile, was going on about another issue.
"Now, walk slowly and stay silent…two…one more step…NOW!!"
Naruto sprang onto Kakashi’s back and put the kunai to his throat. Kakashi screamed in terror and surprise. Minato started laughing harder than he had in years.
"OK," Arashi was already working on the next attack in his mind. " So, do your footing a bit differently, next time think like a cheetah, you know, like the ones that make no noise, but creep you out because you know they’re there?"
"Yondaime-senpai, Akatsuki have been spotted near the Village."
Arashi was stunned. "Kakashi, take Naruto back home, and tell Kushina where I am."
"I want to help, Dad."
"No-"
"But-"
"Not another word. They’re too dangerous."
"OK, dad."
"You ready to go back?" Kakashi asked.
"Yes, Kakashi-san."
"Don’t worry, if you become Hokage, you can fight those scrawny, conniving, blood-traitors all week."
Naruto bounded toward Itachi. "Hey Itachi, guess what?"
Itachi looked away from Love Hina. "What?"
"I want to be the next greatest Hokage. I want to rule all of Konaha some day."
"Joyous, pardon me for not jumping for joy, I’ve been training extra hard."
"So, when I become Hokage, what will that make you?"
"A nobody."
"You’re odd."
"You have no clue."
"So, how do you spend you day?"
"Oh, I don’t go anywhere out of the ordinary, just a hot spring a good mile or two out of the village."
"A hot spring? Cool!"
"Oh! I said too much! Don’t tell anyone I told you. Remember, it’s our little secret."
"Ok Itachi-san!" Naruto ran along.
"Hinata-san! I just heard about this super cool place!"
"Really? Where?"
"Yes," Kushina said. "Where is this super cool place?"
"Oh, around the Village Hall."
"The Village Hall? What’s so wonderful about there, Naruto-kun? We could go there anytime and and not find anything exciting."
"You’ll see."
"OK."
"Excuse me," Kushina interrupted. "I will let you two travel alone; you can go so as long as Kakashi-san goes with you."
"Oh, fine," Naruto was not impressed.
"You two walk so slooowly."
"So where are we going?"
"Oh, a hot spring a ways out of the village."
"COOL!!" Hinata’s voice raised to normal tone.
"Shhh!"
"You two would be so cute together," Kakashi chuckled.
"No, we wouldn’t," Naruto denied.
"I think you would."
"But Naruto-kun is my best friend, I don’t like him."
"We’ll see what time says, I mean, I do think that I heard Yondaime-senpai and your father, Hinata, talk about arranging a marriage."
"When I become Hokage, that’ll be one of the first things gone."
"Good luck with that," Kakashi said. "I’m starting to worry that you will be a disappointing Hokage."
"That’s not how I look at it."
"Then tell me your point of view."
"I’m going to be the greatest Hokage, unlike any other Hokage has been."
"I’ve never seen a Hokage with such a big mouth."
"I’m going to be the talk of the Village, that no Hokage has been before. I’m brushing up, I’m looking down, I’m working on my ninja skills."
"Thus far I’m not impressed."
"Oh! I just can’t wait to be Hokage!"
"Don’t you just want to talk?"
"I don’t know why the Fourth keeps you around," Hinata butted in.
"If this is where the dynasty is headed-COUNT ME OUT!! Out of service, out of Asia, I wouldn’t stick around. This child is getting wildly out of hand!"
"Oh! I just can’t wait to be Hokage!"
They continued the sequence and eventually, they lost Kakashi. The two got in a fight and ended up face first in the hot spring.
"We made it!" Hinata said. She splashed Naruto, and he splashed back. They got into a splash fight until…
"There you two are! We shouldn’t be here!" Kakashi had found them.
Deidara came out from behind from behind him and stuck one of his hands in front of his face. Kakashi jumped, drawing a shuriken.
Tobi and Zetsu followed close behind.
"Well, well, well, what have we here?"
"I don’t know," Tobi responded to Deidara.
They both turned to Zetsu. "Zetsu?"
He smiled as the plant part of his head snapped.
Deidara examined Kakashi. "I think I know your face," he thought for a moment. "Ah, yes, now I remember. You’re the Fourth Hokage’s tattler."
"Tattler! I, madame, am the Fourth Hokage’s main advisor."
"Say what you want, call yourself what you want, I don’t care," Tobi said to his face.
"Hmph," Kakashi sighed.
"We’re not afraid of you," Naruto sprang out.
"Actually, Naruto, we are," Kakashi whispered.
"Really? I thought you said they were scrawny, conniving, blood-traitors."
"Oh, I wouldn’t agree with that. Zetsu, here, and I could eat a whole Village without thinking about it," Deidara’s hand smiled at the sound of food. "Which is why I see no reason why we shouldn’t eat you, I mean, we haven’t eaten in a while."
"And canniblisim is fine with me," Tobi cut it.
Kakashi looked at his watch. "Is it that late already? Naruto, your mother will be furious with me if I don’t get you home soon," the three started to head out.
"Wait a second, wasn’t the plan to eat you three?"
"I think it was."
"Tobi is a GOOD boy!" Zetsu would say this when Tobi would be talking about food.
"Oh, I don’t think my missus would be too impressed with that," Kakashi was ‘smooth’ with words.
"Hey, he’s married, send him back to his wife," Tobi said.
"Don’t you mean husband? After all, he did mistake me for a girl," Deidara joked, though he serious about that last part.
"Wait, he isn’t a girl?" Naruto whispered.
"Shhh!" Hinata hissed.
"True, but we should still set him free."
Deidara suppressed a mumble. "Fine, set him free."
"Run, before we change our minds."
Kakashi sprinted away. The kids tried to flee with him, but were stopped by all three of the Akatsuki members.
"You think you can get away that easily?" Tobi asked.
"Tobi is a gooood boy."
"Come now, we want to eat you first."
Naruto froze in place. Hinata followed suit.
"So, you’re just going to stand there?" the three were closing in on them. Tobi was getting excited, he was already planning the hand-signs in his head.
Naruto drew a kunai. "Leave us alone!"
"Is that the best you have?" Deidara asked. He snatched the kunai out of his hand and fed it to Zetsu, who ate it happily.
"LEAVE US ALONE!!"
The three laughed.
"TOUCH THEM AND DIE!!" This was a different voice from any of the other people who were present.
All of the people had to look, just to make sure it was actually the Fourth Hokage. He came down the from his hiding place in the trees. Kakashi had gone and told him where they were. The Fourth Hokage’s hand signs flew and next thing anyone knew, the Akatsuki members were trembling in fear.
"Did anyone here know that this young man is my son?" he barked in a snappish manner.
"That’s your son?" Deidara managed to say. "I had no idea. Did you know Tobi?"
"No! I didn’t!"
They both looked at Zetsu. "Zetsu?"
"Uh-huh!" Zetsu was honest.
"GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!!"
There was no telling those three twice. The were gone before you could say "Lord Hokage."
Arashi took a deep breath and turned around. "Kakashi?"
Kakashi came up. "Yes, senpai?"
"Keep in back and make sure that these trouble-makers stay in place."
"Yes, senpai," Kakashi followed close behind. Naruto and Hinata walked in between the two adults.
When they reached the Village gates, "Kakashi, take Hinata home. Tell her father I’m sorry it’s so late that she got home."
"Yes, sir. Hinata, follow me. Naruto, best of my wishes," Kakashi and Hinata walked away.
"Naruto, come here."
Naruto approached his father slowly.
"Naruto, why did you do that? You know that what you did was dangerous."
"I don’t know."
"And what’s more, you put Hinata in peril. Did you ever consider that?"
"I just wanted to be brave, like you."
Arashi sighed. "Naruto, being brave doesn’t mean going out looking for trouble, its when you find yourself in a situation when you have to fight for those we love."
"Oh, I didn’t understand that before."
"Naruto, I want you to remember this: You make the greatest sacrifices for the ones you love."
"I will Dad. Oh, and Dad?"
"Yes?"
"I don’t think I’ve heard of Akatsuki ever being so scared in my life."
"You know why that is?"
"No."
"Because no one messess with your father."
They go into a guy fight, I don’t understand it. Both authors are female, the other writer might be able to explain it better. Duh. Boys are violent.
They stopped.
"Hey, Dad, we’re friends, right?"
"Of course!"
"And we’ll be together forever, right?"
Arashi thought for a moment. "I like the sunset just as much as I like the sunrise."
"How so?"
"Night contains the spirit of life, asking: mamela. And a voice? Just the fear of a child. Answers: oh, memela!"
Naruto was getting anxious. He had begun running around.
"Wait," Naruto stopped at the words of his father, " There’s no mountain too great. Hear my words, and have faith: oh mamela! Have faith!" The Fourth Hokage directed his son’s attention to the stars. "They live in you and me. They watch over everything we see. In every creature, in every star. In your reflection. They live in you."
"Who lives in me?"
"All of the great Kages who have ruled many other Villages before our time."
"Oh."
"They live in you. They live in me. They’re watching over everything we see. In every creature, in every star. In your reflection, they live in you."
Naruto had fallen asleep at his dad’s feet. Arashi picked up Naruto and took him home and his mother put him to bed.
Arashi stayed in Naruto’s room for a while. "Good night, future Lord Hokage!"
Meanwhile, Deidara, Tobi, and Zetsu had found there was a way to the Akatsuki stronghold.
"Man, I hate Konoha," Deidara commented.
"I know," Tobi agreed, "It’s almost like we get chased out everytime we go near that hot spring."
"What’s worse is that stupid Fourth Hokage is constantly getting in the way getting any sort of food. It’s not like we rob people of food often."
"I like food," Zetsu mentioned.
"Well, things I hate about Konoha Villagers; expensive," Deidara started.
"Snooty," Tobi continued.
Tobi and Deidara said the same thing in unison, "And their jutsu sucks!"
"Now, not all of Konoha is like that, right?" Itachi had come in.
"Oh, it’s just you," Deidara saw him.
"No," Tobi observed, "You’re on our side."
"Good. I would have issues with you hating me."
"So, got any food?"
"Tobi is a good boy!"
"Three bowls of udon. I think you hardly deserve it, seeing that you didn’t even put a scratch on Naruto."
"Its not our fault," Deidara whined.
"Yeah, Arashi came up and saved him," Tobi said between bites.
Zetsu had eaten his meal, chopsticks and all. "More?"
"No, that’s all I brought."
"Man, why can’t Arashi let us have fun?"
"I know," Deidara agree, " His name gives my shivers. Say it again!"
"Arashi, Arashi, ARASHI!"
Deidara and Zetsu laughed hysterically.
"I’m surrounded by imbeciles," Itachi complained.
"Why aren’t you Hokage?" Tobi asked.
"Yeah, you’d be way cooler than Arashi or Naruto."
"And the only way for you to become Hokage is for you to kill the current Hokage."
"That was my plan precisely," Itachi smiled. He wasn’t going to use his Sharingan, but he had an idea that would kill both Arashi and Naruto, but destroy the Kyubbi.
A few weeks passed and Naruto and Itachi were walking near the wall.
"Can’t you just tell me what my dad is planning?"
"No! I refuse to tell you, it would ruin the purpose of surprise."
"Itachi-san, if you tell me, I’ll act surprised."
"No, I’m not going to divulge the surprise to you."
"Aww, OK."
"Now, stay here and work on your ninja skills."
"How good is the surprise?" Naruto asked before Itachi walked away.
"It’s to die for," Itachi left.
"Can’t we just aggrivate this damn demon?" Tobi asked.
"No, we have to wait until Itachi gives us the sign."
Itachi stood at the top of the trees.
"There is is!" Deidara exclaimed. "Let’s go!"
The three attacked and aggravated the Kyubbi. It shrieked and ran.
Naruto saw the demon travel his way. He started to run.
"Yondaime-senpai, the Kyubbi is out for a run," Kakashi obsevered.
"Odd, I thought that is was hibernating."
"Yondaime-senpai! The Kyubbi is out on the prowl! Naruto is being chased!"
Horror hit Arashi’s face, "Naruto!" He performed the jutsu and summoned the the King Toad, who quickly led him to the scene of the stampede.
I have to seal the demon, Arashi thought. He saw his own son. He’ll do. "I’m sorry!" Arashi cried, "My son!"
He let the hand signs fly through him.
The Nine-tailed Fox had been sealed.
"Dad!" Naruto approached the corpse of the the Fourth Hokage. "Dad! Get up, Dad!" Naruto kneeled beside him. He started crying.
Itachi came up. "What have you done?"
"Nothing, I mean, I didn’t mean to!"
"What would your mother say if she found out you did this?"
"I don’t know! I don’t know what to do!"
"I can tell you what to do: run, run far away as fast as you can."
"OK."
"GO!"
Naruto ran.
The Akatsuki came up.
"Kill him," Itachi said coldly.
Akatsuki chased Naruto to a lake, and Naruto jumped in.
"Do you think he can swim all that?" Deidara asked.
"Nah, I don’t think he can," Tobi said.
"Let’s not tell Itachi," Deidara started to walk away.
"OK, works, for me."
Izikoni, who was the leader of her own Village, came up to visit Kakashi. Then she saw the corpse.
Tears welled her eyes and started to fill her face. "BLOOD HAS BEEN SHED!" she mourned. "For some cause to save us all!"
Kakashi had found her. Izikoni clung to him and suppressed a wail in his vest. Kakashi rubbed her back.
Kushina ran up. She was in distress. She flung herself on her lover.
Itachi herded the Village. "The Fourth Hokage is dead, but that is a great loss. We can still prosper, so as long as we work together. And let this be the dawn of a new era, where Akatsuki lives among Konoha." Akatsuki members appeared behind Itachi.
"This is the death of the village," Izikoni foretold.
The sun pounded down on a dead, dry landscape. Even though it was barely into the desert that hid Sunagakure, with a lovely jungle oasis just out of sight, it was unbearably hot. The land seemed to wave and shiver with heat waves.
A stunted tree bravely struggled for life in the barren land. A prone form of a blond-haired boy lay slumped in the feeble shade offered by the tree. His blue eyes were shut, and he was not stirring.
Crows began to swirl in the hot, blue sky, eager for a meal. One dived down, and the rest followed to swirl around Naruto.
Suddenly, two figures leap among the birds, swatting them away. One was a man with pale hair and face paint, and the other was a woman with blond hair in pigtails and a purple diamond-shape on her forehead.
The two quickly and efficiently dispersed the crows, laughing at their frightened retreat.
"Yeeeah!" yelled Tsunade. " Get out! Get out! Get outta here!"
"I love it! Kicking crows!" Jiraiya shouted.
"Gets ‘em every time," Tsunade said, brushing sand off her clothes.
Jiraiya walked over to see what lay under the tree. " Uh-oh," he said anxiously." Hey, Tsunade, you better come look. I think it’s still alive."
"Ewww…" Tsunade said, grossed out. Still, she walked over to see what Jiraiya was talking about. "All righty, what have we got here?" she asked, looking closely at Naruto’s face.
"Jeez! It’s just a little kid!" she exclaimed. Then, suddenly, a frightening thought came to her. "It could be that scary Gaara kid I’ve heard about from Sunagakure! Run Jiraiya, run!"
"No way, Tsunade, the Kazekage’s son is supposed to be a red-head, not blond. Besides…he’s so little. Just look at him! He’s so cute, and all alone! (he began to drool a bit) Can we keep him?"
Tsunade leaned close to Jiraiya and shouted, "Jiraiya, I knew you were a perv, but do you also have a Lolita Complex?! Don’t get sucked into the world of pedofiles!"
"But he’s so cute!" Jiraiya begged, coming closer to Naruto and "accidentally" tripping Tsunade.
"He won’t always be," Tsunade observed.
"But maybe he’ll be smart, and be a fun student to teach." From Tsunade’s point of view on the ground, Jiraiya was…umm…it was just from a different perspective, okay?
"Puh-lease!" snorted Tsunade. "Maybe he’ll be a--…Hey! I got it! What if he’s smart? You know, having a student around might not be such a bad idea!"
"So we’re keeping him?" Jiraiya asked hopefully.
"Of course," Tsunade assured him. "Who’s the brains in this outfit?"
Jiraiya scooped into his arms. He straightened up, grunting with the effort and the heat.
Tsunade giggled. "My point exactly. Jeez, I’m fried. Let’s get outta here and find some shade."
They trotted off to the nearby oasis. Jiraiya laid Naruto down by the pool. Tsunade gathered water in her cupped hands and splashed it onto Naruto’s face. He began to move, groggily opening his eyes.
"You okay, kid?" Tsunade asked.
"I guess so…" Naruto mumbled, pulling himself into a sitting position.
"You nearly died," Jiraiya noted.
"I saved you," Tsunade proudly said. Jiraiya snorted disbelievingly.
"Well, uh, Jiraiya helped. A little," amended Tsunade, measuring a small space with her fingers.
Naruto emotionlessly thanked them for their help. He struggled to his feet and stumbled back towards the desert.
Tsunade jumped up. "Hey, where are you going?" she worriedly asked.
"Nowhere," Naruto gloomily answered.
"Gee," she said to Jiraiya,"he looks blue."
"I’d say blond," Jiraiya responded.
"No, no, no, no," Tsunade said impatiently. "I mean he’s depressed."
"Oh," Jiraiya said, then ran to Naruto. "Hey kid, what’s eatin’ ya?"
"Nothing," joked Tsunade,"He’s at the top of the food chain!" She broke into wild laughter, which died down as she saw the other two staring blankly at her.
"Cuz, you know, he’s a human, and nothing eats humans…oh never mind." She coughed as a cover for regainin her composure, then continued as if nothing had happened. "So where are you from…?" she started to ask, then trailed off when she saw Naruto’s sulky expression.
"Who cares?" he snapped. "I can’t go back."
"Ahh. You’re a loner. Well, that’s okay, so are we!" Tsunade explained.
"What’cha do, kid?" Jiraiya inquired.
"Something terrible. But I don’t wanna talk about it," Naruto mumbled.
"Good. We don’t wanna hear it," grunted Tsunade.
"Come on!" Jiraiya said impatiently to Tsunade, then more kindly to Naruto, "Anything we can do?"
"Not unless you can change the past."
"You know," Jiraiya said, "In times like this Tsunade always says: You gotta put you behind in your past…"
"No, no, no, no!" Tsunde yelled, waving her arms expressively. Jiraiya began to drool ath the thought of bottoms, so Tsunade continued.
"It’s: you gotta put your past behind you. I mean, bad things happen, and you can’t do anything about it, right?"
"Right…"
"Wrong! Don’t fall into the Hyuuga cadet-branch way of thinking. When the world turns it’s back on you, you turn your back on the world," she instructed.
"That’s not what I was taught," Naruto said dubiously.
"Forget your old lessons. We’re your teachers now, so repeat after me. Hakuna Matata."
"Eh?" Naruto said stupidly.
"Ha-ku-na Ma-ta-ta. It means no worries. Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase!"
"Hakuna Matata!" Jiraiya joined in. "Ain’t no passin’ craze!"
(then the whole sequence, except modified to suit Jiraiya and Tsunade)
Tsunade pulled back a big fern leaf, revealing a lovely view of lush forest and a silver-clear river leading to a small waterfall the fell into the pool. "Welcome to our humble home."
"It’s beautiful!" he exclaimed.
"I’m hungry," declared Jiraiya.
"I’m so starved I could eat two gallons of ramen!" Naruto said.
"Um. No ramen here…" Tsunade said nervously.
"Udon?"
"Nope."
"Not even the cheap instant stuff?" Naruto asked desperately.
"Uh-uh."
"What?! What do you eat?"
"Fruit. Veggies. Other things we find."
"Here’s some yummy looking melons!" Jiraiya grabbed them joyfully.
"Ew. Fruit?" he unhappily asked.
"It’s delicious," Jiraiya said, handing him a piece. Naruto bit into it tentavily, than he smiled and quickly devoured it. "It really is yummy!"
Naruto quickly settled into the lifestyle, living contentedly on the riches of the oasis, learning how to be a strong shinobi with Tsunade and Jiraiya, and generally being unaware of the outside world. Ten more years passed.
The Kazekage stood waiting in an empty room in Sunagakure. He was a slight figure, with red hair, blue-ish green eyes and a red tattoo over his right eye. He was also (in the humble opinion of this writer) damn sexy.
Someone knocked on the door, then swung it open without waiting for an answer.
"Konnichiwa, Gaara-kun!" a cheerful voice cried.
"Hi," he said. The girl who had just entered seemed completely undismayed by his lack of enthusiasm. She was a pretty, tall girl of about eighteen years, with short, sandy-blond hair and bright purple-blue eyes. Her name was Risu.
"So, Gaara-kun, why did you call me up? Did you miss me?" she inquired hopefully, plopping down in one of the chairs.
"No," he said forcefully. "I have a mission for you."
Risu’s ears perked up (not literally, of course). "Ooh, what is it?" she asked.
He picked a paper up off the table and scanned. "It’s a request from Konohagakure," he said slowly.
"Konoha? Why? They have their own shinobi," Risu confusedly asked.
"Well…and this is confidential (at which Risu snorted. Like she’d tell!)…but it seems that the commisioner doesn’t want this coming to the attention of Lord Itachi, and if she commisioned a Konoha ninja it surely would. Any allies from Togakure would be too conspicious. So she requested a Sand ninja, one that doesn’t stand out a lot," he said carefully.
Risu’s quick mind rapidly considered all the aspects of what she had just heard. She put it all together and got the gist of it: Someone in Konoha wanted to overthrow Itachi-"sama", but they needed to do one mission that must not come to his attention. So they asked the Sand Village, and Gaara was picking her. She just had one problem with it.
"Inconspicious? You think I’m inconspicious?!" she asked, a puppy-dog expression on her face.
"Eh? N-no! Of course not! Its just, uh, you know, you’re good at that, I mean, um, ARG!!" he stammered out this confusing answer, leaning forward in his urgency to get her to understand.
"Okay!" Risu said, comforted. "But…Gaara-kun, you’re doing that hand-thing again. Is something wrong with your face?" Gaara’s hands had flown up to cover the cheeks of his face, which was an odd thing he often did around Risu.
"No!" he snapped. "Nothing is wrong with my face! Now pay attention to the mission!"
Risu giggled. "I already get it," she said, getting up and heading towards the door. Just before she opened it, she paused and asked, "Who is the commisioner again?"
Gaara shrugged. "It doesn’t say. It just tells you to meet her outside the walls of Konoha, at a deserted onsen about a mile away from the walls, and that she will tell you the mission there."
"Got it! Arigatou for the mission! See you later, Ra-chan!" Risu cheerfully left the room, whistling Mr. Sandman.
Once Risu was safely away, Gaara sighed and removed his hands from his face. A burning blush was spreading across his pale cheeks. "Darn that girl!" he muttered.
"Okay," Risu said, "This place is seriously creepy." The hot springs bubbled peacefully nearby, but since they were absolutely the only sound to be heard, this was not comforting. Near the pools was an old, decreipt building, the wood rotting away and the whole building leaning slightly to the side. No one else was visible.
"Alright, Risu, you are gonna have to check inside that scary building," she told herself, steeling herself for the undoubtably freaky idea of entering the structure. That was the only other place anyone could be waiting.
She stepped quietly up to the building, sliding the doors softly open. She looked around the place, trying to locate someone, but all she could she was degenerating rice-paper walls. She sighed and stepped into the buiding.
She checked all the rooms, but eventually she came back to the first room. Abruptly, she heard a sound, and felt someone tugging on her bra. She whirled around and slammed her fist into someone’s face.
"@#%*!" swore Deidara, his hands to his nose, one of his mouths licking the blood pouring from it.
"Jeez!" Risu yelled. "A girl should not have to worry about being raped by another girl!"
"I’m not a girl! I’m a guy! Why does everyone think I’m a girl?!" Deidara shouted back.
"A guy? Huh, never woulda’ guessed. But thanks for telling me!" Risu said, slamming up her knee into his balls. Deidara doubled over in pain, and decided this girl was way too tough. He ran from the onsen.
"It’s because you’re so prettty and have such long hair!" Risu called after his retreating figure.
She heard a snickering sound, and turned around once again to see who it was. Standing in the center of the room was a beautiful woman with long red hair.
"You handled that very well," the woman said.
"Uh, thanks, I guess…" Risu replied, then asked, "Who are you?"
"My name is Kushina. I’m the woman who commisioned you," the woman told her.
"Ookay…nice to meet you. My name is Risu. What do you want me to do?" Risu inquired of Kushina.
Kushina stared rather confusedly at her. She stepped closer and peered closely at Risu’s face, then she shrugged and answered. "I want you to find someone. A boy. Same age as you, blond-haired, blue eyed, probably a very skilled shinobi. His name is Naruto, but he might not be going by that. You probabally shouldn’t ask him his name though, he’ll probably get suspicious. I think he’s off that-a-ways," she said, pointing toward the oasis.
"Umm…okay. What do I do when I find him?" Risu asked.
Kushina raised a skeptical eyebrow. "You honestly think you can do this?"
"Yep. Actually sounds fairly easy."
"You do realize it could be really dangerous, don’t you? I mean, if any of the Akatsuki or ninja loyal to Itachi find you, or you surprise Naruto too quickly, you will die." Kushina told her.
Risu nodded. "Yeah, I know."
Kushina stared at her. "Then why are you doing this? You’re so young. You have a long life ahead of you. I mean, I can’t even believe your Kazekage would send you. I thought I made it clear that this was an A-ranked mission."
"First of all, I am a very skilled kunoichi, and Gaara-sama knows that. He isn’t stupid, he isn’t cruel, and he isn’t a monster," Risu said forcefully, as if this was a subject she was often questioned on. "Secondly, this sounds fun. I haven’t gotten to do any fun missions lately. Finally, Gaara-kun asked me too. He never asks me to do stuff for him, so when he does, I would do it no matter what." She smiled as she said this last point, an oddly tender smile.
Kushina’s eyes went wide and surprised. "Why?" she asked softly.
Risu smiled again, this time a casual smile. She turned and headed for the door, saying as she went, "You make the greatest sacrificies for the ones you love." As she opened the door, she paused and said, "I’ll meet you back here in five days or so." Then she left.
Kushina stood silently in the room for a long moment. Then she sighed, and cryptically said, "I’ve lost so many over the past eighteen years. Now I have gotten back the one I least expected."
Naruto walked through the familiar oasis. By now he knew he every inch of the jungle as well of the back of his hand. There was nothing left to explore, and he was rather bored. He sat down on a log and scraped random designs into the dirt. Hey, he thought suddenly, I never noticed that freckle on the back of my hand before.
A female voice unexpectedly interrupted his thoughts. "Excuse me," the voice said politely. "Do you happen to know your way around here?"
Startled, Naruto stood up quickly to find the source of the voice. Standing right in front of him was Risu. How did I not hear her or sense her? he thought, though he actually just said cautiously, " Uh, yes..."
"Oh good!" Risu said, pretending relief. Let's see, boy, check, age, check, blond, check, blue eyes, check. She smiled. "I'm lost. Can you tell me how to get out of here? Its so confusing. I was scared I would never get out," she lied, doing her best to act a damsel in distress.
"Sure. Its easy to figure it out once you know the way," he bragged, totally falling for it.
"Oh thank you!" Risu gushed. "I thought I would never find anyone! Do you actually live here?"
"Yeah," he preened. "This is my home. I'm Naruto, by the way."
So much for not going by his real name. Wait...maybe this isn't him. He looks right but...this guy doesn't look anything like a "skilled shinobi". He seems about as dangerous as a marshmellow.
"If you go that way, you'll be out soon," Naruto said, gesturing in that direction. Risu's eyes widened as she abruptly sensed his enormous chakra.
"Thank you!" Risu exclaimed, smiling hugely. She skipped off, happy to have succeeded in her mission.
Naruto, Jiraiya, and Tsunade lay on a comfortable patch of grass, looking at the sky.
"Ever wondered what's way up there?" Jiraiya murmured sleepily.
"Uh, maybe, stars?" Tsunade said sarcastically.
"No, I mean, like Heaven or the afterlife, or something like that," Jiraiya corrected her.
"Beats me," Tsunade snorted.
"What do you think, Naruto?" Jiraiya asked.
"Well, I don't know..." Naruto answered.
"C'mon, tell us!" Tsunade ordered.
"Yeah, pleease tell!"
"Well," Naruto said hesitantly, "Somebody told me once that the great kages of the past are up there, watching over us."
Tsunade and Jiraiya stared at him a moment. Then they burst out laughing. Naruto blushed an angry red.
"That isn't funny!" he yelled, jumping to his feet. He stormed furiously away.
"Man," Tsunade said. "Teenagers are so tempermental."
Risu waited triumphantly in the old onsen, watching the doors. They slid open, and Kushina walked in, followed by a beautiful girl with dark hair and pale purple eyes (and curves).
"I found him, Kushina-san," Risu said, a little bit smug.
"Good for you," Kushina said, not looking especially impressed. "Now for the rest of the mission."
If she expected Risu to complain about it, she was disappointed. Risu just listened carefully as Kushina introduced the girl and told Risu the rest of her mission.
Izikoni walked up.
"What are you doing here?" Kushina asked, appalled. "You know how risky it is for you to come!"
"I know. I just had to see the two warriors off," Izikoni pulled out two charms form her sleve. "These are made from the wicca girl who owns the shop in the market district in the, well, 'hood' parts of town. I know I realy shouldn't be in those areas, expecally unacompanied, but it was worth the good luck charms, if you believe in them," She started to place the charms on to the wrists of the travelers. "My best of wishes to both of you."
"O-oh, thank you!" Hinata stammered gratefully. Risu was less grateful. "Uh, thanks," she muttered. She didn't really believe in wicca stuff, but she might as well humour Koni. "Well, we should get going, Hinata-chan," Risu said. Hinata looked startled by Risu's casual use of chan. "Bye Kushina-san, Izikoni-san." Risu grabbed Hinata's wrist and ran lightly out of the old onsen.
"That was nice of Tokage-sama," Hinata examined her bracelet, "This is really pretty."
"Yeah, well," Risu was being serious about this mission.

poem #3
this one is way less serious.
There are times,
when i sit,
and try to write,
and can't think of anything.
i just stare at the blank
paper
screen
whatever im writing on
i feel kind of stupid
my mind is as blank as the
page
screen
whatever
that im not writing on.
i like blank pages most of the time.
there full of promises,
full of unwritten words.
but at those times,
i feel as if the page is empty,
and its smearing my mind with
blank.
so then i write something
random
like this
not as good as other stuff I've written.
but its something.
and maybe my mind is less
blank
but
maybe
not
when i sit,
and try to write,
and can't think of anything.
i just stare at the blank

whatever im writing on

my mind is as blank as the

shatter
glass shatters
a thousand
glittering
shards
flying out
scattering
shining in the air
you try to pick up the pieces
they pierce your hands
painfully
blood welling up
red
bright
a million pieces of pain
too many shards lost
scattered in the aching sky
never put together again
not quite right
not fixed
the pieces not quite fitting
delicate and beautiful
something you wish was yours
but
one simple slip
one stupid accident
and the beauty
the purity
perfection
lost
never to be restored
shattered glass
can never be the same as before
the sharp edges
cut you
the loss fills you with regret
longing for what was once had
now
all thats left is the pieces
to try and pick up
try to not hurt
but you can't
a thousand
glittering
shards
flying out
scattering
shining in the air
you try to pick up the pieces
they pierce your hands

poem #1
I stand here,
on the edge
of life
and death
I wonder.
What would it be like to step off?
To give up,
To stop trying,
and fall.
To be,
for one short long moment,
free.
I wonder.
The ocean streches before me,
the sky arches above,
Rocks reach for me,
Sea frothing around them.
I step to the edge,
my toes curling around the crumbling rock.
Birds swirl through the air,
calling,
weeping.
They seem lonely,
as if they are calling me.
I wonder.
What would it be like to fly?
To join the birds,
the seagulls, terns, pipers,
and just soar and wheel above.
Careless, unworried,
and for a short long moment,
free.
I wonder.
Almost without thinking,
I step forward,
lightly,
as if stepping
onto solid ground
and I fall,
arms spreading like wings,
hair streaming behind,
like feathers.
The wind whispers across my skin,
stealing away something,
something like
fear
pain
sadness
despair.
Something like
courage
love
joy
hope.
Until there is only one thing.
Something like
air,
kisses,
or frosting,
but better.
Freedom
Death waits for me kindly below
it leaves me this long short moment
where the wind holds me softly
close and kind,
unjudging,
leaving me
free.
And
Death
is
Free
too.
on the edge
of life
and death
I wonder.

stuff that will be on here...
okay dokey, i wanted this blog because i wanted a place to post my stories and poems and stuff, so i randomly made it. yup. so that, along with some random rants, pix, and crud like that is what will go on her.
also, i would like to add that although i may post depressed, suicidal, heart broken things on occasion, they aren't serious. i have never experienced the things i write about. i just occasionally wonder what that would feel like, and out comes my emo poems. but i am not actually emo. an emo person would probably tell me my poems aren't anything like how it actually feels. so. i just wanted to explain that, so no one would worry.
